What is Episode Transcript?
An episode transcript is the full written text of a podcast episode, used to improve accessibility, searchability, and the reuse of spoken content into other formats.
A transcript turns an hour of audio into thousands of words of indexable, quotable text. That is a major SEO and AEO asset — search and answer engines can read a transcript but not audio.
Transcripts also make content accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and they are the raw material for repurposing: articles, show notes, clips, and social posts all start from the transcript.
Publishing the transcript on the episode's own page (not just uploading a file) is what unlocks the search value.
